A crystal clear lake that surrounds the Temple of the Tooth, the Kandy Lake is a great place to walk around in the evenings or early mornings. Built in the year 1807, by King Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe, this gorgeous man-made lake possesses a rich beauty that can truly take your breath away. The Kandy Lake is also known as Kiri Muhuda or the Sea of Milk. It is surrounded by a unique white wall named ‘Walakulu Bamma’ which was built to intensify the beauty of this gorgeous lake.
Even with the hustle and bustle of the city around you, you can take a peaceful walk on the path around it, occasionally bumping into street vendors who have some tasty snacks to help you keep away the hunger pangs until you get back to the Villa.
